Bill Mayo, the owner of the Franklin General Store, stumbled upon this unique apple variety as a chance seedling back in 2008. Its distinctive qualities were soon discovered when incorporated into sweet cider, earning it a reputation for its captivating dryness that leaves you craving for more.
Our Pet Nat cider celebrates the legacy of the Franklin apple, paying homage to its rich history and outstanding qualities. Comparable to the ever famous Kingston Black but with a friendlier disposition, if you will - Franklin is known for its resilience against disease and harsh winters, and is an ample annual producer. The resulting cider from this rockstar apple is refreshing and vibrant - showcasing the exceptional character of this Vermont foundling.
